Question
What is the ruling when the batter after taking a swing and putting the ball in play throws the bat into the ball that has been hit and at a player/catcher?

Answer
sorry Mitchell,

part of my policies is that I do not review videos.

However the rule is if THE BAT hits the ball in fair territory it is a dead ball, out or if a player discards the bat and it prevents a fielder from making a play on the ball, dead ball out.  If THE BALL hits the bat it is nothing and if fair we play on.

Watch the video and apply the above rule.
