Fair / Foul

2016/7/15 17:00:24

Question
If a batted ball hits either first or third base and goes into foul ball territory is it considered fair or foul??? The ball one hops before touching nothing but the frt. corner of the bag.

Answer
If a batted ball hits anything in fair territory before hitting something in foul territory or prior to coming to rest in foul territory, you have fair ball.  100% off all the bases are in fair territory.  If any part of the ball touches a base in your situation, you have a fair ball.
