Fastpitch Softball pitching problem

Question
Hello,
My daughter wants to pitch in fastpitch softball. She has taken a few lessons and is fairly accurate in her throws put she doesn't have a lot of speed. I have noticed that she has a slight pause at the top of her windmill just before she brings her arm down and releases the ball. I think that is hurting the speed of her pitch but I don't know how to correct it. Any suggestions?
Thank You
Answer
Rick,
Without a video, this is a tough one.
I will step out on a limb on this one. Have your daughter set herself up in the open position, glove hand pointing at the catcher, ball in hand. Have her windmill her throwing arm and release the ball on third time at the hip, increasing arm speed as she gets to full revolutions before release. The glove hand can drop at release. Have her increase speed as she goes. This should help overcome the stall at the top of the windmill.
