Question
My daughter turned 15 in March of 2010.  She would like to play for a 14U travel softball team.  Is this legal or does she have to play for a 16U team?

Answer
Kim,

For ASA and I believe all other organizations, you use the age on December 31st of the previous year. You could have local rule that changes this.  Little League uses the first of the year for girls but the first of May for boys.   Your daughter can play 14U.
