Pitching release

Question
A girl pitcher in our league releases the ball 1 and 1/2 steps after leaving the pitching rubber. She then finishes a full three steps beyond the pitching rubber. She begins her motion with both feet on the rubber, feet never leaving the ground or bouncing. Is this a legal pitch and how many steps can she take before the final release of the ball? Is there any rule about follow through motion after the pitch?
Answer
The first step forward must be with the left foot for a right handed pitcher. The pitcher is allowed to drive forward off the rubber as far as she is able to as long as some part of the pivot foot (right foot for a righty) doesn't leave the ground. College pitchers are able to get a 6-8 foot push.
After the release the the pitching arm can not complete another revolution. Other than that the pitcher can follow through any way she pleases.
