Can a batter stand outside/or inside batters box and practice swings while pitchers throw a real pirch? ASA slow pitch 6-12 ft arch rules. Also the guys in my league do every bush league thing to slow game dwon at plate. I am the pitcher and hate it. I am going to go up next at bat and tie both shoes between pitches, fix jock, call time for a bug in my eye, etc to show them their bush league crap in a beer league. how long do I have between pitches and can I use multiple excuses?

Hi Jay,

In SP the pitcher has 10 secs to deliver the ball after receiving it or "play" by the umpire and the batter also has 10 secs to be in the box after being directed by the umpire.

They can swing the bat but that doesn't mean you have to hold up the pitch.
