What is the regulation size and type for tournament play?

Hi Mike,

Thank you for your question. I gleaned all of the information in my answer from 2010 ASA Rule 3-3...it's four pages long! As with every ASA rule, it applies to Championship Play. 12U and older fast pitch girls use a 12" circumference ball. It may be optic yellow or white. Seams must be red and flat. The ASA certification mark/logo must be red. Finally, there are two more technical requirements: 1) a red Coefficient Of Restitution (COR) mark of .470 or less 2) a red Ball Compression mark of 375 lbs. or less. Whew!
