hey i enjoy your answers!we were the visiting team bottom of the 4th 1 out game gets called because of rain. we are down two runs league rules game counts i appeal and win they say game not completed ok then after a reschedual they cancell it and say not going to play it it stands as called ! and we loose!  by the way we were 15/0 at the time! i have told all my girls that they ARE undefeated ! we have a 16 game season! thanks !

Hi Hansel,

LDs have a lot of power and can make major decisions but these decisions should be based on rules that everyone understands and if there are exceptions to the national rules you play, they should be printed out prior to the start of the season.  Now there may be circumstances here on why not to continue the game, but that I don't know.  In your situation I would think they would have to drop back to the last full completed inning, in this case just the 3rd and whoever was ahead then would be the winner. Real short game IMO and maybe a "no contest" would have been the better decision.

In strict ASA play you need to have 41/2 or 5 innings depending on who's ahead to have an official game.  If you resume a game it is at the exact spot down to the count, where it was stopped.
