COMMITMENT LINE DEFINED (I THINK)

Question
READ ONE OF YOUR QUESTIONS THAT ASKED ABOUT IT.  BROWSING THIS WEBSITE I FOUND ON 3/24 IN DR MARK AMBROSE'S BOX THE COMMITMENT LINE USED IN SENIOR MEN'S SLOW PITCH.  20 FEET FROM 3RD BASE TOWARDS HOME AND IF YOU PASS IT, YOU CAN NOT RETURN TO 3RD ! BETCHA THE UMPIRES FOR THE 12U GIRLS WERE SLOW PITCH GUYS .

Answer
Yeah, Mark sent me an email on that one.

You could be right on the comment on the umpires.  Sometimes the small differences in the games creates a problem for the girls.  Could be the coaches were slow pitch folks.

I had a coach insist to me that a pitcher needed to keep a foot in contact with the pitcher's plate until the pitch was released.  Even showed it to me in the rule book.  I pointed out that she was looking at the slow pitch part.

This is the reason I do fastpitch only.
