12u fastpitch ruling

Question
What is the correct ruling when a bunt is in fair territory but rolls back and hits the bat?

Answer
Hi Melissa,

If THE BALL rolls against the bat (dropped or thrown on the ground) in fair territory it is a live ball and it is a fair ball if the ball settles or is touched in fair territory.  If the ball rolls untouched into foul territory and settles or is touched there it is a foul ball

If THE BALL rolls against the bat in foul territory it is a dead ball, foul ball.
