rain out ruling

2016/7/15 16:47:45

Question
I play in a ASA men's softball league, we were in the top of the 3rd inning and it began to storm and the ump called the game. Does the game continue where it left off or does it start over? This was a regular season game. Thank you

Answer
Hi Mike,

Unless your local league has other rules, in ASA your restart at the EXACT point, down to the count, where the game was halted.

As a sn any player on the roster can participate in the restart even if they were not at the "1st" game.  You just need to legally sub them in.
