Question
Hello... had runners on 1st & 2nd... ball hit to 3b  who throws to 1st ... runner safe at first and over runs base... after call of safe... runner on 2b runs to 3b... is it a force play still....?  Because after the runner is safe at 1b... they are walking back to 1b... not 2b...

Answer
Hi Greg,

Both R1 (on 2nd) and R2 are forced to advance when the batter became a b-r.  The fact that the b-r safely achieved 1st means that R1 and 2 must also safely achieve their bases.  The force play is in effect on both those runners until they advance to their respective bases.
