Runner interference?

Question
Situation.
Girls on 2nd and 3rd.... base hit.
Girl on 3rd scores, a play at home, but the catcher misses the ball and goes to the backstop. However she is slow in moving out of way because she got injured. Girl from second is coming home
and there is a play at home, and the girl slides into home and is safe( however she did take out the legs of the girl who previously scored who was just standing up from her slide). The play is close, but the catcher miss plays the ball again, and it falls to the ground.
Call - first girl was safe, one run scored, second girl was out due to interference by the first player.
Was this the right call?
Answer
I think I'd have to see this play, but the way you have stated it, it seems that an offensive player interfered with her teammate. If this is the case, then there is no penalty because you cannot interfere with your own team (and be penalized for it).
If the first runner interfered with the catcher, then the second runner is out.
The correct call would be-BOTH RUNNERS SCORE-(if there was no interference from the first runner that prevented the catcher from tagging the second runner).
- Prev:2 base rule on first
- Next:out at first
