Question
What is the call on a runner who can be forced out, on a batted ball to the infield stops and reverses direction when the infielder tries to tag her  and goes back to the previous base she occupied?

Answer
Mark,

As long as this is not the batter going to first, there is no call until she is actually put out.

If the runner that is forced to advance retreats all the way to her previous base and the runner(s) forcing her to advance have not been put out, she can be tagged out even while in contact with the base she is being forced to advance from.

If it is the batter going to first, and she retreats toward home plate.  The ball is dead, the batter is out, the other runners return to the last base touched.
