Softball time limit

2016/7/15 16:37:36

Question
The visiting team is up to bat and are behind. The time expires during their at bat. Is the game over or does the inning get to be completed?

Answer
This depends on the tournament rules.  ASA, NSA, USSSA, etc. don't address time limits in their rules.

If the game is "drop dead" at the time limit, then yes the game is over.

Many tournaments state finish the current inning if needed when time expires.
