bat hits ball 4

Question
s it a dead ball when the 4th ball is delivered and f2 misses the ball, batter tosses her bat after ball 4 and hits the ball that has bounced off the backstop and moving toward the 3rd base foul line R1 is on 1st.

An unusual question.  It is not hitting the ball a 2nd time nor is it a blocked ball.

On B4 the batter is awarded 1st base and the ball remains live or dead depending on what game we're playing.  I assume you're playing a game where the ball remains alive.  If the ball hit the bat I have nothing.  If the bat hit the ball I'm probably going to kill it so that there is no advantage.
