Fielder positioning

In Baberuth girls 10u softball are there any restrictions on placing fielders or does the setup need to be 4 infielders 4 outfielders a pitcher and a catcher?  Also where in the rule book is this mentioned?

Hello Scott,

You can put the fielders anywhere inside the foul lines you choose.  The only requirements for positioning is the catcher must be in the catcher's box at the time of the pitch and the pitcher must be on the pitching rubber.  You can place your other seven fielders wherever you desire.  I'm sorry, but I don't have a rule book in front of me, so I can't tell you the exact rule.  I hope this helps, and I'm sorry the response was slow.  I found this question in the pool which is only checked by experts when they have spare time.
