Runner to second intentionaly throws an elbow at second baseman.  Is called out for unsportsman like conduct.  Umpire rules that everytime this player comes up to bat, it is an automatic out.  Next inning, the coach pulls her off the roster and puts someone else in her place.  3rd inning, failed to notify other team of change.

Hi Tressy,

Unless f4 has the ball and we use the crash rule or there was interference, we would not call the runner out, although an ejection is warranted.

With an ejection you cannot play shorthanded you have to have a legal sub or the game is forfeited.  So the substitution should have been made right away, not the next inning.

It is a unreported substitution and that penalty applies.
