Top Three

Question
I normaly play in a league that uses primarily NFHS rules with a variations based on age groups and local preference.  I am planning to attend an ASA 12u tournament in a few weeks what do you think the top three differences are between the 2 rule books that I should be aware of.

Answer
There is really only one big difference between the two rule sets.  The rules on how the pitchers feet must stay in contact with the pitchers plate prior to the delivery.

In ASA both feet need to be touching the PP.  No step back is allowed as it is in NFHS.

The other difference involve penalties for improper subsitution.  Don't do anything wrong in this area and you won't have any problems.  ASA sub rules mirror NFHS.
