Question
Does a DP have to have a specific positon assigned in the lineup???:  Can a DP play any defensive position--without being a substitution???  What is the advantage of a DP and how would you use/??

Flex can hit and run for the DP only on offense??
Flex can play defense for anyone?Substitution rule ???

If a Flex pitches two innings --pitcher goes out--cam Flex go to any other defensive pisition in the 3rd inning and the original pitcher renter???

Does a DP have to have a specific positon assigned in the lineup???: yes they can be in any batting position 1-9, they must be made known as the DP

Can a DP play any defensive position--without being a substitution??? Yes they may play any defensive position for any player except the Flex w/out it being considered a substitution.  The player being played for on defense continues to bat in their position.

What is the advantage of a DP and how would you use/?? great fielder, lousy hitter can be a Flex, great batter lousy fielder can be a DP etc.

Flex can hit and run for the DP only on offense??  yes the Flex may bat and run only for the DP, this is considered a sub for the DP and they leave the game.
