Error?

There are runners on 2nd and 3rd with 2 outs.  The hitter hits a ground ball up the middle and the center fielder charges the ball.  She fields it and then drops the ball off to her right.  The runner from second is waved in by the coach after slowing at third.  There is no throw home. Is that an error on the centerfielder when that second runner scored which would make that second run unearned?

Answer
Judgement call.

Would that runner have scored on a cleanly fielded ball?  The answer gives you the answer to your question.

Another thought.........

If I am keeping score and the pitcher is my daughter then it is absolutely an error.  If the outfielder is my daughter, no error.  If the outfielder and the pitcher are my daughters, it would depend on whose room is the cleanest!
