Tape on pitchers wrist
Question
My daughter sprained the back of the wrist of her pitching hand while batting. She is now able to play but needs to have it taped. Can she pitch if the tape is a neutral color? She completes her high school season this week and will restart to travel.
Answer
Hi Bill,
You already know that a pitcher can't wear anything on the pitching hand, wrist, forearm or elbow that is distracting to the batter. Find some flesh colored wrap or tape, wrap the wrist, show it to the umpire before the game for their approval. I don't think you'll have a problem.
