Real situation. Trailing by 1 top of the 7th. Runner on 2nd and 3rd. Groundball hit to short stop. The throw to first pulls the 1st baseman. Umpire in the field calls the runner out. Knowing that I am going to appeal to the plate umpire I keep the runners running. Defense is celebrating thinking the game is over. When doe it become a dead ball situation.

In this case the BU's call put the defense in jeopardy so I'm going to use the "god" rule which includes rectifying any situation where an umpire's decision causes either the offense or defense to be put in such a situation.
