Walk/Stealing bases

Hello, this is my daughter's first year of playing and I'm not too fond about the rules in softball. My question is, in 12-under league, after the pitcher throws 4 balls and the batter gets to walk, can she steal bases all the way home? I do see them having to walk and steal 2nd but at the moment they were trying to steal 2nd base the pitcher overthrew the ball to the 2nd baseman and the runner kept running all the way home.

My 2nd question is, where can I find a rule book for softball? Do they differ within State to State or are they all pretty much identical? I live in SoCal, in the city of Gardena, to give you a better input of what city I'm in. I just want to have a more of an understanding to the sport since both my daughters love it. Thank you!

In most cases in FP the ball continues to be live on a BB.  Since the ball is live a runner or b-r can continue to advance if they choose to....
1) subject to the LBR (look back rule) if the pitcher has control of the ball in the circle OR
2) not subject to the LBR if some other defensive player has the ball, the pitcher does not have control or is not in the circle or a play is being made on a runner.

In this play since the ball was live, a play was made, and the throw went wherever, the runner can advance at their own risk as far as they want to.

Most of the rules make more sense as the girls develop and learn to play the game.

Rule book depends on what org. you play.  If ASA ask your JO commish how to get 1.
