3rd out

In my daughters game tonight there was bases loaded with 2 outs.  The batter hit a ball just right past 2nd base the short stop picked it up and tossed it to 2nd base for the force out 3rd out of the inning.  before the ball was in the 2nd basemans glove the runner from third crossed home plate, then after the ball was in the 2nd basemans glove for the force out the runner from second crossed home plate.  the umpire stated that the runner from 3rd was safe and her run scored but the runner from second didn't count as a score.  I thought that both runs would not count, am I confused or right?

You are............ TA DA...................Correct................By rule,ASA 5-5-b ANYTIME the 3rd out of an inning is a force out (as this 1 was) no run can score.  It doesn't matter if the run scores before the out occurs, it doesn't count, it never counts, even if it's during a full moon during a snowstorm in July with a pregnant llama in the dugout.  Hope I'm clear here.  

The umpire was absolutely wrong (this is umpiring 101) and your coach should have brought out the "P" word.
