Does The Run Count?

U-10 girls softball, ASA rules.  Situation:  bases are loaded, 1 out.  The batter hits a slow roller to the second baseman.  The second baseman fields the ball and tags the girl out headed to second (who was on first base) then tosses it to first for the double play.  Before the double play at first, the runner from third base crosses home plate.  Remember this is U-10, not as fast a developing play as you would expect. Does the run count since home was crossed before the third out?  I contend it counts but can not find the rule.  Is it scoring on fielder's choice, defensive indifference, or what?  Thanks!

Thank you for your question.  It doesn't entirely make sense, I have to admit, but in your scenario the run doesn't count, even though the runner on 3B touched home before the third out was made.  Several instances nullify a run that scored before the third out was made, and your scenario actually simultaneously had two of them: 1) the third out was a force out and 2) the batter-runner was put out before reaching 1B.  

Let's drive this point home with a grossly improbable and exaggerated scenario: two outs, bases loaded, and a slow roller is hit to F4, just like in your scenario, except this time the play develops REALLY slowly.  All three runners touch home plate before the batter-runner is thrown out at 1B.  No runs score!
