finding a place to play

Question
I am a 16 year old girl interested in playing rugby, particularly this summer. My school does not offer it as a sport. I have been trying to find a club around the Boston area where I live, but it seems that they are meant for men or women out of college. Do you know any that accept high school girls?
Thanks,
Brett

Answer
Hi Bret,

Good on you for getting into it. I am sorry but I am not familiar with women's teams in Chicago. Go on line and search for a club that way and try contacting USA Rugby directly, they may be able to point you in the correct direction.

As a last resort set up your own club. USA Rugby can help also , put the word out and it is amazing the amount of rugby players that come out of the woodwork, you could simply start buy organizing touch rugby on Saturdays.

Either way stick with it and don't let anyone tell you that you can't. I have coached women's rugby and it is quality stuff.
