Union vs League

What's better, Rugby Union or Rugby League?

Alas, I love both codes.

I have played union all my life, been picked for the county, as a junior, picked for my home country of Ireland.

However, I was raised in the North of England, deep in league territory, I live in a league mad town (Whitehaven) who have been pushing for promotion to the Super League for years, but the playoff luck means make or break.

I can't answer too much, because although they bear the name rugby in the title, are played with an oval shaped ball and on the same field, they're nothing alike...

You decide if you want the fast paced, always on a knife edge of league, or the tactically important game of union.
