General fullback play and positioning on the field

2016/7/16 9:55:40

Question
I'm 17 years old, 1.92m tall and weigh about 92kq. i played wing all my life. I was put on fullback last year (2008) and made the provincial team. this year I'm playing under 19 rugby. i have got a elbow injury and struggle with confidence. I'm also not sure where to position myself all the time since I had to figure it out by myself last year. Before the injury i had no problems with confidence.

Answer
Make sure you take a high ball backwards, hence so you don't knock it on, also make sure you put a nice, solid tackle in around the legs, its all about technique that's how to get confidence back.

Secondly, for positioning think where you would kick the ball if you were there flyhalf, and then get in that position.

Thanks
