Question
basically my question is what position should i play?
im 13 in year 8 ive been playing for my school for quite a while and recently joined a team (been playing for them for about 2 1/2 months) but dont know what position to go for.
im average hieght have a very strong tackle im an ok runner.i have good passing aswell . im 5,6 and 8stone 2 lbs. do you have any ideas as to where i should play?

Answer
It is hard to say without putting you through your passes. Rugby is a game for all body shapes so mere measurements don't make for an absolute answer.

I suggest picking a position you feel best represents you. There are some prop-looking centers in rugby and some lock-looking wingers. Don't let your size or appearance dictate your position.

Also understand that players often change positions during their rugby career a few time before settling in. It makes for better over all game knowledge as well.

I started at lock, then prop, then flanker, then prop and hooker, had a go at #8 and even half back once.

You choose and do your best and be open to learn and change.
