Backline moves off lineout

Question
We consistently win quality lineouts but cannot seem to take advantage of the ball when spinning to the backs. Any moves specific to taking advantage of the distance between our line and the defense?
Answer
It sounds like your half back needs to speed his pass up. Try doing a few drill where your lock stands on a chair in the line out the ball is thrown to him easily and her puts the ball to the half back.
Try to get the ball to the half back from the top of the jump, before the lock starts to come down again.
Also make sure your number 10 is making his decisions quicker. He needs to decide fast if he is passing running or kicking.
If the ball is too slow from the forwards have them practice mauling and have the half back be super vocal about when the ball comes out. instruct the forwards that the half back makes the call and they have to deliver fast ball.
Look on you tube for some good video drills and email the ink to your team mate before practice then work on the drills as many times as you can
Have your half back stay back and practice his passing
Have the team vidieo during games so people can see how they play and have the guys watch pro games and compare how the professional player plays the position they are in
