line-out moves
Question
I'm a level 1 coach in England for an under 16's team and wondered if anyone has got any interesting line-out moves to share? Many thanks
Answer
Hi Lance, sorry for the delay in getting back to you.
Here's one:
this can work at the front or the back of the line out.
Throw in to number two jumper - have him take the ball down like a drive but instead of a full bind and commitment to the driving maul just have the props and jumper "fake set". The jumper holds the ball out and a runner - probably a 6,7 or 8 takes the ball for a run up the side line with the hooker in support. If the jumper and the props sell the driving maul well enough the opposition over commits to the maul and all the runner has to beat is a winger.
This works off the back with a prop running as well.
