moving to blindside flanker

Hi, im 17 and have been playingrugby since i was 6, i play for my sucessfull team whitchurch (england) and also have represented county and regional. i have always been a secound row because i usd to be tall, however i have stuck at around 6ft 1 and i am planning on moving to blindside flanker, i was wondering what aspects of my game i need to work on more as i am already a strong tackler an rucker, and what areas of m body i need to improve my strength on as i have always concentated on thighs and shoulders? cheers

Train for:
Speed off the mark, explosive power. Example: your on a defensive scrum and like a sprinter you need to break from the scrum and round the scrum to put pressure on the half back and first five.
Endurance: High levels of intense aerobic intensity consistently over the whole game. Fast recovery time.
CORE, CORE, CORE, CORE CORE etc if you strengthen nothing else do that. When hunting ball out of a maul or ruck this helps a lot.
Ball skills live with a ball in your hand.
Remember when your team mate turns around in a tackle he needs to have you on him to strip the ball from him or take the pop pass. So you need to be fit do do this, it is your job.
