Position on pitch

Hi,
I have been moved to play as second row, and am unsure where I should be on the pitch during defensive/offensive situations in open play.
Can you give me any advice on where I should try and be?

Hi Garret this is something your team should be covering this with team defensive and offensive drills which if you look online via Google you can get also You tube is good as well. I can go into long explanations but what I suggest is you get with your coach prior to practice and get clarity from him and ask for pointers during training.

On defense you want to either be tackling supporting the tackler or being on the defensive line. On attach your are either hitting the ball up, supporting the ball carrier or in the offensive line as an option.

Try to watch a lot of Rugby on TV and You Tube and make sure to look specifically at what the locks are doing.
