Right Winger info
Question
Hello-
I am 47 years old and have just started to play hockey on a mens beginner league. My skating is ok, but other than pond and occasional rink hockey many years ago, I never played on an organized team before so I am a little fuzzy with the rules. As a right winger I understand were I am supposed to be at the beginning faceoff of the game, but where should I be either in the defensive or offensive zones when there is a faceoff? Not sure what hash mark to be on. Usually when the faceoff is near our goalie, I have been standing near the goalie for extra defense, but as far as either side of the ice, not sure exactly where I need to be for these faceoffs. Plus any other right wing advise you can give will be well appreciated. Thanks!
Answer
Hi John
I happen to know the perfect article for you

That should answer a lot of your questions, if you still have questions after reading that than just leave your questions in the comment section.
The right winger is always on the right hash mark (to the right of the centermen)
If you are on the penalty kill you will always be on the hash mark closest to center ice.
