Answer
Hello Robert...
For a 12 year old you are sounding very bright and quite mature! You probably have a leg up on other players just because of that! Now that said - as you know - the competition to go to NHL is fierce and even more so with goalies... is it impossible? - ABSOLUTELY NOT!!
The key for you, if you can, is always play at the HIGHEST level you can - while getting plenty of ice time (shots - shots and more shots) ... AND here is a real important part: HAVING FUN/ENJOYING the process... I can't stress enough the importance for you to ENJOY what you do -- and that means EVERY part of the process... from getting the right amount of sleep, to diet, to training, to studying the game, to self discipline, to workout, to practice and to playing the games and all aspects of it all.... the one's that have the highest chance of making it to the show -- pretty much LOVE every aspect of the process.
You see as much as talent and effort, a big part of it all is about POSITIVE GOOD FEELINGS... the more you have the BETTER.
Dream your dream --- write out your action plan ... VISUALIZE it being REAL -- FEEL THE JOY about it... and then GO FOR IT -with everything you've got, BELIEVE, regardless of challenges!
Make sense?
You are young, you are bright, you are not afraid to reach out and get help/guidance... you have ALOT going for you... YOU CAN DO IT!
Good Luck With the Puck!
