Playoffs and etc
Question
I was wondering two things, how does the NFL decide who plays what team for that week. ALso how does the NFL decide who will go to the playoffs?
Answer
Dear Eric,
The NFL decides the regular season schedule before each season begins based on the record of the team from the previous year. For instance a last place team will have an easier schedule than that first place team. For the playoffs, eight teams in each conference are in. The division winners get automatic bids and from there they take the next best teams determined by record. Who plays who in the playoffs is decided by records of the regular season. The teams with the best records play those with the worst.
Hope this helps,
Chris
