Question
IM CONFUSED ON WHAT IT MEANS WHEN YOU BLOCK THE MAN OVER YOU AND SOFORTH...COULD YOU EXPLAIN? THANK YOU
Answer
Dear GEORGE BAKER,
When they say "block the man over you" they are talking about the man lined up in front of you. When they say, "block the man in the gap" they are talking about the man lined up in the gap between you and the other offensive linemen. For example, the tackle would block the man lined up between him and the guard. When they say, 揵lock the linebacker?you would block the man closes to you that is lined up just off the line, in a two-point stand.
I hope I answered your question. Please feel free to let me know if you have any more questions.
Your friend, Coach Louis.
