How should I go about this?

Well here's the situation, I have found out about a recreation/semi-pro adult football league in my city that I am interested in playing in.  I've never played tackle football before, although I am very familiar with the game having coached flag football and and being around the game all practically all my life, I just wanted to know if there are any tips you can give me togive me an edge when it comes time to tryout.

OK, first off, I will need to know exactly what type of league you are speaking about.  Is it a full-contact, full-pad, organized league?  Full-contact, non-padded organized league? Flag football?  I will need the specifics about the league to start an answer for you.

Secondly, I will need to know your specific background in football...  Have you played organized football before?  What ages and highest level?  What position have you played / are you interested in playing?  How old are you?  Height and weight?  What would you see yourself playing if you made this particular team?

Also, give me some specifics about the team, and league.  When do they play?  Practice?  What do you do currently for a living?  Does your schedule allow you to make this huge commitment?  Will you be able to do your job mornings after a tough game or practice when you are dead tired and terribly sore?

Anyway, as you can see, to give a proper answer to this question I will need you to be as specific as you can be.  After I get a better understanding of what it is exactly you are going for, I will dig deep to give you everything I know to prepare you for this venture.  So please get back to me with the answers to the questions above, and anything else you can think of that  might give me an idea of the exact situation you are getting into.  Try and think of your response as a resume you would be writing to me if I were the head coach of the team you were trying to make.
