Light Halfback?
Question
Hey I saw on Wikipedia.org that there are lighter halfbacks and they are informally called "finesse backs". I was wondering if that was true? Warrick Dunn apparently is one of those "finesse backs", and I was hoping I could play that position.

Yes it is true. You will find that in football, there are thousands of terms for anything you can think of.. And in a lot of cases, there are multiple terms for the same thing. Your example is perfect. A tailback (running back) at the top of the "I" formation.. He can be called "tailback", "running back", "I back", etc. And then, depending on his physical stature can be a "power" back, or a "finesse" back, "scat" back", etc.... They can also be termed by their role on the team. Like "pass catching back" or "3rd down back", or "short yardage back"... It goes on and on.
In reality, the terms can be combined in many cases. One player can be a "power, short yardage" back. Or maybe a "3rd down finesse back". See what I am talking about?
Every coach terms things differently, so as you watch and follow football longer, you will pick up on these things. In 99% of the cases, you will find that they arent that complicated, once you learn which terms that particular team's using.
Hope all is well.
Best wishes
