Michigan Football Camp
Question
Hi Coach Perl,
Im 15 im a quarterback at Sterling Heights High in Michigan, ill be a sophmore next year and I got a chance of being the varsity qb next year. I read in one of your past answers, that a good camp to go to would be the Michigan Football Camp up in Ann Arbor. Do you think i should go to it this summer, or should i wait until my junior year? I also got one more question away from my past one, and this has probably been answered before, but I was wondering if you know some things i can do to increase my arm strenght, to increase my velocity.
Thanks

Thanks for writing. Its always a good idea to attend a football camp if that interests you. In surely cant hurt. The only thing, which I cant remember, is what their age / grade requirement is. But I think you are old enough to attend the camp I went to. Look into it and see what they require. If you are ok to go, I would definitely recommend going. It was very helpful, and A LOT of fun.
For your second answer, you were right. That is a common one asked. Probably one of the most common. Go ahead and do a quick check through my past answers. You will find a lot of good stuff for arm strength, proper throwing motion, etc. It will be more helpful to read a few of them, rather than me re-write it. I have a limit to how much I can write per response, and think you can get a lot out of the past answers section.
Best of luck! Look into that camp, it was great. If it is still going, and you are allowed to go, do it. During my time there, I was able to spend a bit with Cam Cameron, who was at Michigan at the time. Showed me some great stuff. By the way, in case you didnt know, he is now the head coach of the Dolphins..
