Answer
Dear Marky,
Give this technique a shot. It is a good way to get into the offensive backfield on running plays.

Align as tight to the line of scrimmage as possible, while making sure that you can see the ball. Your outside foot should be even with the offensive linesman inside foot.

Take a very low compressed stance. You want to be in a very tight ball that is ready to explode, into the gap, at the snap of the ball.

At the snap of the ball, fire forward and on to your belly, as deep as you can into the offensive backfield. Firing out, on to your belly, makes it almost impossible for your opponent to get underneath your shoulder pads and drive you back off the line of scrimmage.

When or as you are hitting the ground, grab the legs of any of the offensive backs, near you, to disrupt the timing of the offense. Once in the backfield, get off your belly and into a hitting stance as fast as you can. You want to be able to tackle or chase the ball carrier as soon as possible.

Let me know how this works out for you.
Your friend, Coach Louis.
