I am new to football

Question
I have been searching for a person that can help me learn how to play football.  The only experience that I have had is at the park with some of the neighborhood kids.  They tell me that I am go at running the ball and tackeling but I have no idea the positions or what the rules are.  I have finally convinced my parents to let me play but don't know how to. Do you have any suggestions on what to do?

There are a lot of books that have been written on the rules of playing football. I think there is also a DVD called "How to Watch Football" that might be of help to you.

You also might want to just ask your friends. Your new football coach can also be of great help to you. Most football coaches have a copy of the rule book in their office. Just ask him if you can see it. I do not know what state you are in however, in my state this is the website where you get the rule book from. This is just an example you can use to find what you are looking for.
