Jet offense.
Question
I'm a high school level player, and we run the jet offense. It seemed to work during middle school, but now that we're in high school, it's just so predictable. Where the motion is going...there goes the ball. Where the fullback is going, there goes the ball. I'm really wondering what it takes to make this successful, it's not like we're bad at blocking, it's just that the other teams know EXACTLY where we're going. What does it take to be successful?
Answer
This will really come down to what your coach is willing to do. If the defense is having an easy time reading where the play is going, you should probably add some miss direction in your package (pull guards right and run left type stuff). It will really just come down to coaching decisions here. I hope this answers your question.
