Coach has a problem
Question
Hey Coach i have a problem, my high school coach has a problem with me because we got into a verbal fight last year over the postseason. I did not play this past season and i will be a senior this coming fall and i fear that my coach will not play me because of the problems between him and I even though i can perform better then the other wide receivers on the field. What should i do so that i can actually play this year because is by far my greatest passion.
Answer
Hello Talon
It's all about what really matters to you. I don't know who was right or wrong, or how much. I don't even know if what happened last year is that important now. What I DO know is that you may not play unless you talk to your coach. And you may need to apologize, even if it wasn't your fault. Maybe that's not fair, but how badly do you want to play? It's the coach's team, and it's the coach's right to decide who plays.
My opinion is that your best bet is to talk to your coach, tell him you are sorry and that you'll do WHATEVER it takes to play. Maybe this will work, maybe not, but you'll never know unless you try.
If the coach decides to let you play, then it's up to you to exceed his expectations. Coaches want to win, and they like players that play as hard as they can.
Good luck and let me know how it goes.
