formations
Question
hey coach, i live in England and its not as big over here obviously, but I'm old enough now to play for the league that we have here. i play Quarterback, but because I've never had any proper game experience, i only know basic offensive formations. i usually use a spread formation, as it suits my style as i like to move around a bit in the pocket. do you know any resources, or could tell me any thing that could teach me and help me with new offensive formations to give me the edge when i go for tryouts?
thanks a lot, Lewis.
Answer
Lewis, the qb position is the most important position on the field. You are the leader of the offense and responsible to know every offensive players assignment. The formation that your team will run is most often decided by the coaching staff. I would advice you to work on your foot work and practice your passing. If you want to learn more about different formations, get online a purchase a dvd about offensive formations and plays. OR purchase a dvd on the qb position which will break down things that you need to learn, to be a good qb. GOOD LUCK COACH NOEL!!
