What to do.
Question
I am sure you get about a million of these a day but I am going to go ahead and ask. I do not know what to do. I am 6 feet tall weigh 205 I bench 315 and squat 405. I played football growing up all the way through my highschool career. I had some offers to play college football for some Division two schools but i dislocated my knee my senior year of highschool and those offers went away. I joined the military right afterward and I am about to finish my contract. I am 21 and looking to walk on to a Division two team within the next year. I have had knee surgery nothing serious and i am back to 100%. I do not know if a school hears i have had knee problems or surgery if they will automatically tell me NO! should I keep my knee a secret since it does not effect me at all?
Answer
Wow, thank your for your military service. If you are not having current problems than try out and see how it goes. I am sure you will be looking to earn a scholarship, and it if were me I would not bring up the injury. A school might not offer you a scholarship (or honor it anyway) if you mention your past knee problems. I say go for it. Follow up please and let me know what school you are looking into.
