QuestionHey brian, my name is Chris James..I'm a student a morehead state
university and I'm interested in becoming a football coach for a college or
NFL team..I'm 22 years old and have a semester of college under my belt..I
know I have a long way to go, but I love the game of football and want
nothing else but to be able to become an all time great coach..I'm very
knowledgable about the game although I haven't played since freshman year
of high school..not by choice, my car accident kind of put a stop to it..I plan
on graduating from college but I don't know what I should major/minor in or
the best steps to take to get my feet wet..I would appreciate any help you
could give me..
AnswerGreat question Chris. I suggest one of two things: talk to the current coaching staff at Morehead State and volunteer to be a student assistant (it is something I did at a D II school in Michigan). That is a tremendous resource. You can then work your way up from there, gain experience, and learn a ton. Or, try to get in at a local high school. Either way, making connections is the key. I recommend visiting my website coachfromthestands.com and you can further ask questions to other coaches there. Email me anytime as well. Coach B
