freshman tight end

Question
ok, ive always been a great tight end. always. ever since i can remeber ive been starting without ever being taken out. the coach says im the best run blocker even though im not a true lineman. the only thing that im not great at is actualy catching, i only cath about 7 out of 10 passes. and i know here coming in as a freshman in highschool i need to be top notch to be a starter. so, i was wondering if you had any tips specific on being a tight. if you need to know any of my marks then im six foot even and 148lbs, 14 years old. i bench 160. i squat 240. i have a 5.1 forty as of last year. if you need to know our offense we are very balanced, however we usualy stick to inside runs and short passes, we are pretty conservitive. so if theres any way you could help me i would greatly appreciate it...Zach T.

Answer
No one can make you a great receiver....Practice, practice, practice....Become good friends w/ the QB & ask him to spend some extra quality time so you can work on routes.....This will actually help him become a better QB by throwing more & hiom readig the routes, so you both gain.

Your goal as a freshman, is to gain a starting position, but if you do not, then your goal is to be the first sub....You time will come.  Get serious, get fit, get on a great nutrition program.  See your couselor about filling out the NCAA Clearinghouse paperwork NOW.....A future goal is to play in college.  Filing paperwork is required....

Good luck....Great question.  If this helped please rate me positively, if not, then let me know back.....Thanks, Andy
