What Colleges look at out of highschool

Hello my name is J.T. Spalding. I go to a 3A Highschool in a small town. I play Defensive End and Right Gaurd. I am currently a Sophmore and i am like 3rd string so far, do colleges look at people that only start thier senior year? or do they want more experience? I am really wanting to play college ball for a small college, nothing big. Dose it sound like i have a shot at all? My skill is not an issue for my 3rd string position, its just the coach puts in the seniors and juniors before the sophmores or freshman no matter how good you are. Is that an issue? please help and thank you for you time.

JT it is not an issue, you will do just fine.  Keep hitting the weightroom, stay in good shape, don't get soft and overweight, work on your speed, quickness and fundamentals and you will be in the running when it is your time.  If you want to be really attractive to college football team do the above but also work on your study skills and grades, the higher your GPA and Test Scores with the above skills, you will make a college team.
